Nichole Fusco, LICSW

I am dedicated to client care and providing a safe and supportive environment for the therapeutic process and client growth. I founded Transitions Counseling Services, Inc in 2015 to help adults, children and families in the Franklin and Norfolk communities. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), my therapeutic approach includes strength based treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused counseling. I have a compassionate and direct style that plays a role in my client’s problem resolution. I am strongly committed to helping you help yourself, learn and grow from your past behaviors, and focus on working on what is going on now in your life and moving forward.

My prior experience includes forensic mental health as well as 9+ years of outpatient therapy experience. My expertise in diagnostic assessment including mood disorders, other mental illnesses, and relationship issues allows me to work with you on identifying goals and strengths while working towards an effective therapeutic process.

I have been in the mental health field for the past eleven years specializing in relationships, couples, and individuals; young adults and adults. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston College, with a specialization in mental health. I am a current member of the National Association of Social Workers.

Donna Lebow, LICSW

donnaI am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a compassionate and genuine style specializing in adults. I provide counseling with Transitions Counseling Services. My Strengths Based perspective will assist you in seeing your strengths and develop a healthier, more balanced life style. In my collaborative approach, together we will improve effective coping strategies, enhance self-esteem and general well being. I am dedicated to client care and helping you achieve your goals while feeling supported and validated.

I work with adults in both individual and group treatment. I specialize in men and women’s issues, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues, adjustment disorder, self esteem, life transitions and personal growth. My 20+ years of experience working in the mental health field has provided me with opportunities to offer a variety of treatment options best designed to meet your individual needs.

My treatment approaches include Positive Psychology, Mindfulness Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Supportive Therapy.

I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from Bridgewater State University and Bachelors in Recreation Education from Northeastern University. In addition, I am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. I believe with my years of clinical experience combined with my authentic personality, together can achieve resolutions and get to a healthier, happier, whole place.

I offer Thursday evenings and Saturday appointment times in our Franklin office.  Currently I am not accepting new clients.


Priscilla Picardi-Haswell, LICSW

I am an experienced Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with children and families as well as providing individual therapy to adolescents and adults. I am bilingual (English-Spanish) and hold a certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My client-centered, compassionate approach allows for a flexible treatment plan to meet your goals of therapy.

I am empathetic and a good listener. I am committed to working with you to identify challenges, develop a solution and accomplish your goals. My eclectic approach to treatment offers a wide array of skills and interventions that are tailored to the individual’s style and needs. My clinical approach includes Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy while incorporating mindfulness and Social-Emotional Learning Theory. It is important to me to provide treatment that allows for my clients to recognize their strengths, gain control of their behaviors, and reach their full potential.

I have worked in the mental health field for 20+ years providing therapy to children and families in a variety of settings including outpatient, in home, and school based settings. I have extensive experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Mood Disorders, Anxiety, ADD, ADHD, as well as offering parenting support. I hold a Master’s Degree from Boston College specializing in Clinical Mental Health.

I value client relationship building and provide compassionate listening with honest and direct feedback. My systems approach allows me to incorporate the larger picture, while also focusing on the here and now for quick resolution, integrating strengths based and solution focused techniques. Within minutes, you will feel safe, supported, and comfortable as we take steps together for a brighter tomorrow.

I work with older adolescents and adults in the context of individual therapy, couples therapy and family therapy. I specialize in treatment of relationships, special education and adult transition, PTSD and trauma, LGBTQ community and gender issues, adjustment disorders, substance abuse, anxiety and depressive disorders. I also specialize in supporting individuals with short and long term medical conditions and hold a certification in Primary Care Behavioral Health from UMASS Medical.

I have been in the mental health field for over 14 years. I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Assumption College with additional Certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Child and Family Therapy. I am dependable and hardworking, committed to helping you get to that better place!

Kimberly Miller, LMHC

As a licensed mental health counselor with Transitions Counseling Services, my goal is to provide an open and trusting place where together we can explore the underlying factors of negative emotions, and/or life situations you are facing. We will explore strategies to work through these emotions and/or situations in order to help you develop an understanding on how to best overcome these obstacles.

I specialize in treatment of children, adolescents, adults and families. Areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, behavioral issues, parenting support, life transitions, adjustment to college and after graduation, and adjustment disorders.

I believe that we all have our own life story, and encounter situations differently. Because of this, my therapeutic technique is tailored to best meet each individuals needs. The therapeutic styles I use include interventions from Cognitive Behavioral, Behavioral, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused therapies.  I am currently working on my post graduate certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I have over ten years working in this field, and am enthusiastic to help each individual meet their own personal goals.  I work out of the Franklin office primarily and Tuesdays in our Norfolk location.


Kirsten Rickis, LMHC

I aim to provide a safe therapeutic space, free of judgment as we together work on your goals with concrete skills to achieve improved health and happiness! As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor I provide treatment with Transitions Counseling Services. My clinical approach is influenced by Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral, Mindfulness, Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as I aim to provide a skills based treatment for fast results. Utilizing relational therapy, I will work with you see what role relationships play in your life and how they impact ourselves. I have a post graduate certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

In addition to individual therapy for adolescents to adults, I specialize in providing family therapy/parenting plans, offering support for DCF involved families and those who’s loved ones suffer from chronic mental illness or substance abuse. We will work collaboratively on personal growth and development.

My experience in forensic psychology and mental health has provided me the competencies to work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, peer relationships, substance abuse, dual diagnosis, and youthful offenders. Together we will meet your goals and you will feel in control of your life!

Melissa Medeiros, LMHC

Maureen DiMilla, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have a specialized interest and skill set in working with adolescents, young adults, families and adults.  I have a warm and inviting approach that allows me to build rapport quickly with teens and also be a support to parents.  I have a skills based style and consider myself to be a compassionately direct communicator, incorporating humor at times and always working together with you, sharing my insights and reflections.

Through a collaborative treatment model, we will explore your resiliencies, strengths and healthy coping, while working with you on also identifying areas of growth and opportunity for improved life balance.  My therapy is influenced by solution focused techniques, motivational perspective, strength based and most predominantly through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) interventions.  I have over 100 hours of post graduate clinical training and consultation in DBT.  I have a passion for individual work as well as group therapy and currently run the DBT Workshops at Transitions.

I specialize in treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, adoption and blended families, LGBTQ issues with teens and parents, emotional regulation, interpersonal conflict and reactive attachment.  I believe in creating a comfortable and safe environment for you to explore the vulnerable topics we will discuss.  I foster client engagement and aim to empower you to feel more in control of your emotions, behaviors, and relationships.

I earned my Counseling Degree at Framingham State College.  I have extensive work experience with Department of Children and Families.

Erin Christiano-Mordarski, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with fifteen years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families.  My approach to treatment is multi-dimensional, based on a holistic understanding of the client.  I utilize innovative and alternative tools and techniques to meet my clients where they are at, capitalizing on their strengths to empower them to achieve balance in their life.

Formally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I integrate this knowledge to individually tailor therapeutic goals for my clients so that they can achieve a greater sense of balance and resilience.  In addition, I have extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and am skilled at supporting clients both individually and in a group setting.  My clinical areas of interest include helping clients with stress and anger management, school success, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome, Gender related issues, foster care, and self-esteem.

I earned my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Assumption College and hold an additional license as a school adjustment counselor, as well as am a certified yoga instructor for both children and adults. I have ten years past experience working as a school adjustment counselor servicing students in grades k-12, as well as is an adoption assessment clinician and yoga instructor in the Worcester area.

Gary Dauer, LICSW

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with over forty-five years experience assisting individuals and groups find their strength to live a healthier, more fulfilled quality of life. For much of that time, those efforts were with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. It has also been with Catholic Charities, the Veterans Administration, and most recently as a Franklin based outpatient clinician. My passion is helping adults, particularly those over age 50, who are having difficulty with depression and anxiety, marital and family concerns, retirement, grief and loss, as well as worry about their health and finances.

The challenges that occur during life transitions often bring the greatest satisfactions, as well as difficulty, anxiety and loss. I create a safe place to explore both life’s pleasures and hurdles.  Specialties include support around changes with marriage and starting a family, separation and divorce, job loss and retirement, disability, aging, and grief and loss. I believe that an empathic counseling relationship in which your worth recognized and validated, where your strengths are emphasized, and resiliencies explored, can lead you to greater enjoyment of your life and better connections to those around you.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston College and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts, as well as study with the Kantor Family Institute and the Rutgers Summer Institute of Alcohol and Addiction Studies. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and I specialize in individuals struggling with anxiety, panic, depression, life transitions, relationship issues and substance use. I generally work with clients ages 17+ and love to work in the context of individual therapy.

I have a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy , Solution Focused, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Strength Based approach to my therapeutic style.

Kathy Manganaro, LMHC

I am excited to join Transitions and looking forward to running groups for children and adolescents as well as supporting parents.  I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor as well as Certified School Guidance and Adjustment Counselor.  I have over 30 years experience working young adults and their families.  For the past 23 years I have worked as a middle school counselor supporting students individually and in group settings navigate their way though adolescence.  I am passionate about working with teens and helping them become successful, happy, young people!

I am currently accepting clients to join my Girls with Grit and Grace group.  Older Middle School/High school aged group runs on Thursdays from 7-8pm. Group currently meeting virtually.  Currently accepting new clients! Registration Required.

GIRLS WITH GRACE AND GRIT!:  This is an adolescent girls workshop to focus on skills to be empowered, independent, confident and respectful.  We will explore issues tween/teen girls face around social situations and relationships, healthy vs unhealthy, self esteem and confidence and skills around communication and advocacy. This workshop will teach problem solving skills, build confidence and help girls work towards being a leader and not a follower. More info about this group on our About page!

I specialize in working with children and families and have several years experience working in the outpatient setting. My previous work in pediatrics with MGH has been a great experience in shaping my clinical skills and expertise with children. Matthew Manela, LICSW, LADC

I specialize in treatment for OCD and anger management. I work with clients ages 12+ and have a very clinical and direct approach to my work. I will work with you on accomplishing your goals and living a more balanced, less distressing life. I will support you in healthy choices and offer skills to challenge negative thinking and behaviors.  I have been providing outpatient therapy for many years and also have run a successful Anger Management program in the South Shore and look forward to duplicating my program, “12 Steps to Anger Management” here at Transitions starting March 2020.
