Elizabeth Craig, MSW, LCSW Candidate

Liz Craig - Client Care Coordinator Norfolk

I currently facilitate our Emotion Explorers and Middle School Groups. My clinical background is in youth and family services as well as a high school setting. I have been able to work with individuals and groups in both schools and family agencies. Group topics I typically cover are social skills, emotional regulation, executive functioning and anxiety and empowerment. I find building coping skills and self advocacy to be important to work on in a safe setting.  I have also learned about the inner workings of school systems and how mental health fits in this context. I have had the opportunity to support families navigating school systems as they seek support for their children as well as personal experience advocating for my own family. Bridging the gap between school and mental health holds a special place in my social work practice. Diagnoses that are a particular passion for me are ADHD, dyslexia and other learning disorders, anxiety and depression.

I enjoy using a blend of approaches to best fit each client.  I often utilize CBT, Narrative therapy, and mindfulness to name a few. I also use a strengths based approach in my practice. I enjoy seeing the strengths and challenges that come with each age of development and aim to support my clients and their families as they navigate these life stages.

I hold a Master of Social Work Degree from Boston University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from St. Anselm College. I work under close supervision of my Clinical Supervisor, Priscilla Picardi-Haswell LICSW, to collaborate on client care. I am currently accepting new group members and look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
