Elizabeth Craig, Second Year MSW Student & Administrative Support Staff

Liz Craig - Client Care Coordinator Norfolk

I am a current graduate student in the Master of Social Work program at Boston University (graduating December 2023). I am currently facilitating our Emotion Explorers group here at Transitions. I also previously co-facilitated our CBT for anxiety group for teens. In addition to my clinical work at Transitions, I was also the intake coordinator for two years. With these roles I have had the opportunity to see the gaps in the field and hope to continue creating programming for youth and their families that provide support and skills to grow on.

My clinical background also includes my internship at Westwood Youth and Family Services, an agency that serves residents ages six to eighteen. In this position I worked with all ages of children individually and facilitated multiple groups. Group topics included social skills, emotional regulation, and anxiety and empowerment. I am currently facilitating this agency’s therapy groups for children.  Further, I am currently completing my advanced internship at a local high school where I am working directly with adolescents individually and in a group setting.

I spend the rest of my time running around to various sports activities for my three sons, much of my program development has been influenced by my experiences in my own parenting journey as well as my individual experience with clients and their families. I enjoy working with children of all ages and find that each age group brings their own unique strengths and challenges to therapy.
