Jessica Champagne, LCSW
I welcome every client as they are, in every stage of life. I will meet you where you are at with a safe and empowering environment. I believe people can change and sometimes it just takes a little extra guidance to make that happen. I love using evidenced based practices such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure Therapy and Creative Arts, to name a few to help clients navigate and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. Such as, feeling irritable, restless, having racing thoughts, or excessive worrying. I enjoy using alternative therapies that involve nature, being outside, and grounding techniques. Using strengths based models I also incorporate a holistic approach with each client honoring what you already know about yourself, which is so much more than you may think! We sometimes use external forces to guide us, but talk therapy can allow you to hear your own thoughts in a new way. Ultimately showing you, you have always been enough! I believe we often tell ourselves a story of what we think we should do or how we should be based on lived experiences and I enjoy helping clients remove the limiting beliefs that often inhibit us from living our most fulfilling life.
I have a broad range of experiences, having been in the field for over 10 years from Geriatrics, In-Patient Psychiatry, Acute Emergency Psychiatry, Eating Disorders, In-Home Therapy and as a Triage Counselor in a High School. I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, families, and adults.
I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker graduating with both my Bachelors and Master’s degree in Social Work from Bridgewater State University. I offer in person appointments in our Norfolk office location.
