Are you pregnant? A new mom? Or a mom to children under 5? If so, this group is for you. The pandemic has caused us to get closer and farther apart at the same time. Being a mom before the pandemic was hard to say the least, but now with the added stress and uncertainty it is even harder. The pandemic has opened up Pandora's box of worry for mothers and mothers to be. This group offers the opportunity to find people experiencing the same struggles and explore such topics as: new mom in the pandemic, socializing in the pandemic with young children, transitioning to daycare or back to work, impact on marriage, self care, working, impact on mental health and so much more.

CURRENTLY CLOSED: Many therapists at Transitions Counseling Services, Inc., hold a certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or are currently seeking the post graduate certification. CBT is a very effective type of therapy that is designed to treat a number of depressive disorders, anxiety issues and other mood-related disorders. We target the unhealthy patterns of thought and recognize how they impact self-destructive behaviors and negative feelings that affect our clients.
We seek to use CBT to make improvements for the individual and their relationships, as well. Our team helps our clients to develop new and constructive ways of thinking that can help to create a healthier approach to behaviors and beliefs. We embrace the basic principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including the use of active and collaborative participation, education, as well as goal-oriented and solution-focused therapy.
