Abigail Thompson, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with extensive experience working with children, adolescents and their families navigating complex trauma, acute behavioral symptoms, and mental health crises. Given this, my approach is individualized and creative, tailored to each client’s needs and strengths.

I believe in building a secure foundation of trust that fosters growth, self-reflection, and the ability to learn new skills. I specialized in Art Therapy at Lesley University and incorporate expressive interventions when appropriate. I have also been trained in Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Therapy (SMART) which emphasizes the importance of regulation and the body’s experience in the context of session.

With a decade of experience in trauma-informed educational and residential settings, I offer an honest, predictable and good humored approach to therapy. I offer both in person and virtual sessions on evenings and weekends out of the Franklin office.
