Allie Castino, LICSW Clinical Supervisor
Adolescents, Adults Age Group:
I believe therapy can be life-changing. My work with my clients is holistic and focuses on helping them find the inner strength needed to face life’s many challenges. I encourage my clients to acknowledge discomfort/difficult feelings and emotions, as that leads to self-discovery and healing. I specialize in strengths-based, psychodynamic and attachment-based approaches. I also utilize bibliotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I treat anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, PTSD, and eating disorders. I hold a particular interest in women’s health issues and chronic pain/illness. I have experience in nonprofit, hospital, and private practice settings. I received my Master of Social Work degree with a Certificate in Healthcare and Social Work Practice from Simmons College in Boston, MA, and my Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Hispanic Studies from Vassar College. I also hold a Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from Boston University. I practice out of the Norfolk office, and I offer both in person and telehealth appointments Monday through Friday.
