Anne Cavanaugh-Sawan, Ph.D.

Norfolk

Hello, my name is Anne Cavanaugh Sawan. I enjoy working with motivated clients on issues of attachment, adoption, grief, caretaking, life transitions, parenting, anxiety and depression. I firmly believe that there is an important connection between our physical bodies and our minds which then influences our thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

I offer a warm setting using talk therapy, CBT, reality based and psychoeducational approaches. In the past, my work was primarily focused on trauma work with young children and adolescents.

I have an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Tufts University and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Northeastern University. I work part time Mondays and Thursdays, offering in person sessions at the Norfolk office. I look forward to meeting you!
