Betsie Miltner, LMHC

Norfolk, Virtual

Adults Age Group:

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping clients work through challenges so they may achieve a greater sense of wellness in their lives.  I am experienced in counseling people of diverse backgrounds and all ages, with a particular interest in and focus on young adults and the transition to adulthood, as well as women’s mental health. I am skilled in helping people who are struggling with anxiety and mood disorders, work and family stress, substance use problems, trauma-related issues and life transitions.

Creating an environment of compassion and empathy, I am able to develop strong and lasting therapeutic relationships with the clients I serve. My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, and I draw from various models including CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness.

I have over 10 years of experience working in the field of mental health, including residential settings, in-home therapy, outpatient individual and group therapy, and community mental health. I earned a BA in Psychology, and an MS in Mental Health Counseling.

I am part of Transitions’ Norfolk office and am currently holding virtual and in-person sessions.
