Daniel Bistransin, LMHC
Adults Age Group:
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 30 years of experience assisting individuals navigating mental illness and substance use. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and offer a knowledgeable, client-centered, laid-back, and supportive approach to therapy.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic, strength based, and trauma informed. To help you meet you goals, I draw from an extensive background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), positive psychology, motivational interviewing and Illness Management and Recovery (IMR).
While I specialize in both individual and group therapy within rehabilitation settings, my broader expertise includes diagnosis and assessment, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, interpersonal relationships, grief and loss, and life transitions. I also have dedicated experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community and am proud to support your unique needs.
I am deeply committed to helping my clients make positive, lasting improvements. By utilizing a direct, relaxed, and conversational approach, I strive to ensure you feel entirely supported and comfortable throughout our time together. I currently work part-time at Transitions Counseling Services and offer convenient virtual appointments. It would be an honor to accompany and support you on this journey toward improving your life.
