Laura Lynch, MSW
Children, Adolescents, Adults Age Group:
My hope as your therapist is to guide you along your personal path toward strength, empowerment, and happiness, while creating a compassionate space where you feel safe, seen, and heard. I believe that everyone has the ability to shine, even during life’s most difficult moments, and in every session, I strive to listen with a nonjudgmental mind and an open heart.
I work with children, adolescents, families, and individuals across the lifespan, with a special passion for supporting young people from elementary school through high school. Whether someone is struggling with anxiety, depression, big feelings, friendship challenges, school stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, family changes, or caregiving responsibilities, my goal is to walk alongside them with empathy and understanding. For my younger clients, I love using playful, developmentally appropriate approaches that help kids express themselves and build confidence through their natural language of play and creativity.
I use a variety of evidence-based and client-centered approaches, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of my clients. With children, I incorporate creative techniques like art, play therapy, and interactive activities, while with adults I draw on strengths-based strategies and my intuition. I create a safe, supportive environment where clients of all ages can build resilience, foster growth, and improve their overall well-being.
My clinical experience spans diverse populations across the lifespan, including inpatient psychiatric care at Fuller Hospital, supporting older adults at the Hanover Council on Aging, serving as a case manager for adults with developmental disabilities, and extensive work with children and families navigating emotional and behavioral challenges through various life transitions.
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in Gerontology from Southern New Hampshire University. I am currently working toward licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Massachusetts. As a certified Reiki Master and yoga teacher, I incorporate gentle elements of these practices to support clients’ mind-body connection and overall well-being, including kid-friendly mindfulness and movement activities for my younger clients.
