Michele Sessa, LCSW

I am a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 4 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life’s challenges within their academic environment and outpatient settings. I have undergraduate degrees in Early Childhood Education and Psychology, and I have earned a Master of Social Work from Simmons University. I love traveling, relaxing in nature, crafting and spending time with family and friends.

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, adults and families who are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and loss, trauma, substance use, eating disorders, life transitions, gender dysphoria and mood disorders. Through my practice, I believe in utilizing various methodologies to support each client’s growth and development. I strive to individualize each session to my client’s specific needs by using a strengths based, person centered approach. My practice involves aspects of Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused CBT, DBT, Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings and life experiences.

I offer outpatient individual and family therapy in our Franklin office on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays with both in person or virtual sessions. Whether you are seeking support for mental health concerns, relationship challenges, or personal growth, I am honored to be able to support you every step of the way. I look forward to being a part of your journey towards healing and positive change.

Transitions is proud to have Associate Clinicians who are Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) working with a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) under close supervision while they are working towards their own independent licensure. Michele has a designated Clinical Supervisor, Heather Haupt, LICSW, collaborating on your care.
